3 Day Horse Camp

Experience what it like to be on a hobby farm! This camp is open to children ages 5 through 11 with groups being divided based on age to adhere the skills to each developmentally appropriate age group. Children will get to help with morning chores, groom the mini horses, and participate in arts, crafts and various farm games.

Children’s camp offers a unique opportunity for hands-on experience with horses. The experience is set up with the intention to teach the children how to read the horse behavior, how to take care of them, and how to be safe around the horses. It is said a horse can mirror your emotions. Sharing this special bond with other children is a blessing to us. Our gentle horses will truly touch your child’s heart.

Why is camp important for our children?

Skill Development

Camp will provide a unique experience to learn and develop many important life skills.  Camp provides a non-threatening environment to work on things such as self-expression, positive social interactions, structure and defining clear limits, participation in individual and group sessions, etc. Camp allows youth participants to be able to develop, learn about and work on enhancing their personal abilities as they benefit from meaningful participation in a surrounding designed just for them. ​

Learning Independence

Within the camp setting, children will develop a sense of independence as they try new adventures that they are not necessarily exposed to at home. The camps provide a safe environment where children and adolescents can gain self-confidence and learn new skills. Camp is also a place that allows them to develop social skills, such as communication, conflict resolution, and relationship cultivation. ​

Mental Health

In the new climate of social distancing and virtual learning through schools, children are facing threats to their well-being that no generation has had to face. With constant access to screens and more connection to the everyone an everybody, we are far less connected to each other on a personal level than ever before.  Increasing evidence is demonstrating that the many benefits of nature on children's psychological and physical well-being will help to reduce stress, create better physical health, increase creativity and increase concentration levels. ​
